“NOT BEING A WEED”

The Christian journey is one of learning to accept our identity as God’s beloved children.  We are called to find rest and security in this anchor truth that cannot be taken away from us by the world.  When we forget this, when we struggle with trust we can become like weeds.  We can become convinced that there isn’t enough of the good stuff to go around be it love or esteem.  We can come to believe we can only secure ourselves by taking from others like weeds take nutrients from the soil.  But God calls us to be grain, his children.  And there is more than enough love to go around
