As many practice social distancing and gatherings are cancelled, the Outlook seeks to provide resources for our Lenten journey and ways to stay connected to each other during this challenging season. To that end, we are recording a weekly devotional, about 10 minutes long, that you can view at your convenience. We use editor Jill Duffield’s new book “Lent In Plain Sight” as our guide, but having the book is not necessary! We also invite you to use our weekly lectionary reflections, “Looking into the lectionary” for weekly worship, Bible study or devotions. We are grateful for your witness and ministry and we are praying for you. If there are resources you need but cannot find, let us know and we will do our best to locate or create them!
“Why am I a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church? Two words keep floating up in a rather persistent way – “home” and “family” – and I realized that it is an inescapable fact that is what this church means to me. During my 40 years here, so many life events have happened and Westminster has been there for me through all those times – good and bad. It has been my home and family. They say “home is where the heart is” and I’ve found the heart of Westminster to be as open and warm as a family’s!”
