We are pleased to offer our 5th Annual SING! Westminster Choir Camp June 24 – 28, 2019, for children entering the 2nd through 8th grade. This week-long summer day camp focuses on choral music and offers outdoor recreation of organized activities, daily lunch provided, and the chance to enjoy new friendships with children from across the area.
The Musical Director is Sharon Samuels Reed, a veteran Central Illinois music educator and activist for the arts. She is the founding artistic director of the Heritage Ensemble and the Youth Heritage Ensemble of Central Illinois. Her expertise will bring to this camp a unique style and enthusiasm for making music with children.
Thomas Clark-Jones is the co-conductor of the choir bringing a new variety of music to the camp.
Peoria painter and sculptor, R. Rashad Reed, will teach the visual arts classes and be a guide for the children throughout the camp day.

“As a newcomer to Westminster (in September of 2014), I’ve found it to be a most welcoming fellowship. I look forward to going to services and events and find the warmth of the congregation to be most helpful to a newcomer to the entire area. I find sermons challenging … music beautiful and well prepared … and a dignity in the worship that is all too lacking in most Protestant congregations. Mix this with an open atmosphere where it is OK to question and still be seen as a good Christian, and I know I’ve found one important ‘home’ in Central Illinois.”
