INSEPARABLE LOVE is given by Rev. Christopher “Chip” Rolan Leah’s silence rings loudly in our reading from the Hebrew scriptures this week. As her father and instant husband navigate each other’s wills, Leah’s own will goes unnoticed, unaddressed. Paul assures us that nothing at all can separate us from the love of God. The intensity of his language calls to mind the great scope of the world and cosmos, the great and loud majesty of it. But it’s important to remember that neither can blunt disregard or the restraints of a society that doesn’t consider your voice valid. In the topsy-turvy world of the Gospel, those who appear to be conquered are more than conquerors and the woman who goes unseen even on her wedding night is seen by God

“I believe in Westminster’s missions of service to others and I like how biblical scholarship is integrated with scripture, providing more insight into understanding what Christ says is important. These have only helped me to strengthen my faith.”
