“EATING AT THE CHILDREN’S TABLE”

Today, on World Communion Sunday, we celebrate our global community with other Christians. The readings from Job and  Psalm 26 speak to God’s divine power over us and intimate connection to us.  The letter to the Hebrews describes how God sent Jesus to walk alongside us, tasting the fullness of human suffering. His atoning death and resurrection enable us to become his brothers and sisters, united in one body of faith as children of the heavenly Father. In Mark’s Gospel Jesus bids us to become as little children, dependent on and beloved by God.

Let us know that you joined us by filling out the Friendship Form below.
Then share with us your favorite part of today’s online worship experience!
Whether that was something from the music or the message, we’d love to hear.

Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than
we to pray, and to give more than we either desire or deserve: Pour upon
us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our
conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things for which we are
not worthy to ask, except through the merits and mediation of Jesus
Christ our Savior; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
