For your convenience, there are several ways to give to Westminster Presbyterian Church. While each may have its own advantages and/or disadvantages, they each allow for God’s work to be done as you are faithful to His calling to give back.
Everything we do at Westminster happens because of the support of our members, visitors, and friends. Without their continued support, in the form of tithes and offerings, it would be very difficult to provide the ministries that are touching and changing peoples’ lives every day.
If you’re new to Westminster or are just checking us out, we consider you our guest; we don’t want you to feel obligated to give, in any way.
But for those who consider Westminster their church home or who otherwise want to honor God through our ministry, the following 4 options are available for you:
Tithes and offerings are received during our Sunday Worship Service and most special services. If your gift is provided in the form of a check or in a completed offering envelope, your donation will be recorded and a tax receipt will be provided at least yearly.
Donations can also be brought to the Church office at any time during normal hours or mailed to the church office addressed to WPC, 1420 W. Moss Avenue
Peoria, Illinois 61606.
Today, most banks offer an online bill payment service; this provides one of the easiest and most effective ways to automate your giving. Simply set up an automatic (or one time) payment to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Once it is set up, you’re still in control; you may update or change your giving at any time. Plus, 100% of your gift goes to the ministries of Westminster because there are no processing fees.
Westminster Presbyterian Church is offering online giving through the website as a way to make online tithes, offerings, and donations via credit card or direct electronic funds transfer from your checking account. While we allow the use of credit cards for tithes and offerings, we still strongly encourage the use of your bank’s online bill pay service rather than a credit card for two primary reasons:
Your personal information will remain private and not be sold or given away to third parties. Westminster will use the information you submit only for the purpose of processing your payment and providing required tax records. Your privacy in these matters is greatly respected.
“What goes through your mind as you sit in the sanctuary and look around?
As I sit in my pew and look up at the cross with the wonderful light illuminating it, I am reminded of why I am at Westminster on this particular day. The cross reminds me that Christ died for me and, in a sense, I am to do the same in my daily life. The brightness of the cross illustrates for me the brightness of living my life in the way of Christ.”
